P is a tertiary education institute that specialises in psychology. By being true specialists, we have a deep understanding of human behaviour, which resonates throughout our courses. Established over 35 years ago, the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) offers courses in psychology, criminology, counselling, coaching, case management, and social work from diploma through to masters level. Our courses prepare students from diverse backgrounds for rewarding professions working with people in the community. There are also pathway options to further study available, to suit students’ priorities and career aspirations.

We currently have over 4,000 students studying on-campus, online or by blended delivery, which is a combination of on campus and online for those wanting to access our courses from remote areas. Our campuses are situated in convenient CBD locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with easy access to public transport and entertainment.

Courses can be studied full-time or part-time and students can choose to start in February, May or September depending on the chosen course.

In courses with placement included, students have the opportunity to apply theory in a professional workplace for a set period of time, gaining essential real-life experience in their chosen field.

ACCREDITATION

ACAP is a registered higher education provider and a nationally registered training organisation. Our psychology degrees are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), counselling degrees are accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), our coaching degree through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and social work programs are accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Professional accreditation ensures these courses meet the relevant educational and training standards for graduates to seek recognition and practise in the profession.

Applicants of undergraduate courses at ACAP must provide a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SSCE) or a Certificate IV upon application, in addition to undertaking an interview (this application criteria does not apply to CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management)). ATAR results will not be necessary in the application process.
