Brisbane Private Schools introduces Sutherland Shire Montessori School in Gymea, for all your education and learning for your childs future, We invite you to explore and learn more about the quality 21st Century education with Sutherland Shire Montessori School.
Sutherland Shire Montessori School offers each child an opportunity to develop independence, self-confidence and self-esteem. The unique programme, centred on the child, encourages the development of personal responsibility, thinking processes and fosters a love of learning. The child is guided in the exploration of his or her own learning styles and in the development of work patterns most suited to individual needs.
The school is situated in the Sutherland Shire's leafy suburb of Gymea, and a smaller campus at Sutherland. The sites have an extensive outdoor area where the children can play and explore using creative play equipment.
In this purpose-built educational environment, separate areas cater for the educational needs of children in groupings by their age. At the Sutherland campus, we have one pre-primary 3-6 year old classroom and we also offer the 0-3 program, where parents come and learn with their children.
At the Gymea campus, class groups of 3-6 year olds, 6-9 year olds and 9-12 year olds operate. Our high school is also situated on the Gymea campus and offers the Montessori adolescent program for 12-18 year olds. Our open plan classrooms are attractively furnished with Montessori materials. The specialised classroom equipment and materials are carefully designed to support the educational programs and the needs of the children according to their level of development.
Welcome to Sutherland Shire Montessori School one of the popular educators in your Gymea area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
