Brisbane Private Schools introduces Gladstone Park Secondary College in Gladstone Park, for all your education and learning needs.
Gladstone Park is a single campus, co-educational Year 7 to 12 college of more than 1500 students that services a large residential community in the North Western suburbs of Melbourne. We have a culturally diverse enrolment that underpins a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The School Motto is: ‘Knowledge is Power’ and the key value at Gladstone Park is respect. We are committed to a culture of respect: respect of self; respect of peers; and respect of staff, school and parents. We value student leadership. Our philosophy is to use the innate talent of students to lead our culture of respect. We also value integrity, honesty, responsibility and co-operation and we believe in firm, fair discipline.
The school operates using a Sub-School model to support student welfare and discipline with Junior School Years 7 – 8, Middle School Years 9 – 10 and Senior School Years 11 – 12.
The school provides a significant extra-curricular and enrichment program including: a large instrumental program and several school bands; debating and public speaking; drama and musical productions including the Rock Eisteddfod; and a large House competition program including, but not restricted to, swimming, athletics and debating.
Facilities include a state of the art 300 seat Performing Arts Centre with a dance studio, community library, recently completed second gym and separate year 7 area. We’ve just officially opened a $2 million upgrade of our science facilities which includes 7 very large fully equipped science rooms with computers. The College has refurbished every classroom and soon over 70% of classrooms will be multi-purpose fully equipped computer rooms.
Welcome to Gladstone Park Secondary College one of the popular educators in your Gladstone Park area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
