Our school opened in January 2008 with about 90 students on our first day. We are positioned in the growth corridor between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We currently have approximately 600 students enrolled with a design capacity for about 1100 students.

Our design features are innovative, smart, and environmentally sensitive:

• All teaching areas are digitally rich (Interactive whiteboards, data projectors, laptops for students and teachers, internet cabling plus wireless access)

• Flexibility and functionality of all spaces (moveable walls, multiple cable and wireless data outlets, kitchenette/ science teaching spaces in classrooms)

• Building orientation encourages natural ventilation

• Use of natural controlled lighting for classrooms & general buildings

• A combination of dimmable fluorescent lights / daylight controls

• Storm water reuse – stored in tanks for toilet flushing

• Storm water quality improvement devices into the design
