Dromana Primary School has served the communities of McCrae, Safety Beach and Dromana since its establishment in 1861. There is a great sense of pride among the school community, particularly in regard to its programs, positive learning environment and its excellent facilities and amenities. Approximately 450 students are enrolled at the school.

The school seeks to prepare our students for future pathways by developing creative thinkers and independent, motivated learners. We actively encourage students to develop to their full potential by recognising and rewarding achievement. The curriculum is based on a comprehensive seven year sequential learning program contained in the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS). Literacy and Numeracy are a focus for improvement.
