Brisbane Private Schools introduces Geebung Special School in Geebung, for all your education and learning needs.
Geebung Special School is a Queensland Government school for students of primary and pre-primary age (about 3 to 12 years) who have intellectual impairments and other disabilities and live in Brisbane, Australia.
It provides educational services for about 100 school aged students and up to 75 students aged to 5 years who are in the Early Childhood Developmental Program. A specialised 'prep' program which prepares children for school entry also exists for children in their year prior to school entry.
Students come from the north east of Brisbane - from the areas bounded by Spring Hill, Albany Creek, Brighton and Clayfield. Sometimes programs are shared with a primary school in the student's local area.
The school logo is a frill-necked lizard. The school colours are green and gold. The school motto is "I can do it by myself".
Welcome to Geebung Special School one of the popular educators in your Geebung area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
